thought id post some progress on yet another project thats distracting (tempting) me from the environment work.

Games artisans posted a mini comp that seemed a perfect timescale and subject matter for me to do before heading off on my adventures. this is the first texturing progress shot.

My good friend Josh asked me Unwrap and texture a simple game mesh for a class that he is teaching at west London university.

its a pretty quick job, just a barrel. but its whet my appetitite for the environment posted earlier, which I will get back into now that I have moved house and am almost set up properly again. so progress on that to appear soon.

The thundertank came to an abrupt stop, due to a tripple wammy of computer troubles, RSI and shortly after a broken rib :/

so, ive decided now to finally get started on a project that Ive been thinking about for a while now, and interior environment, half modern day urban shopping district, half fantasy bazaar. think a street in your typical RPG castle/cathedral town but fast forward a thousand years or so. kind of like Salisbury if it was bit more urbanised I guess… sorta.

just been blocking it out for now, need to research different stone work as well as door and window designs. there will be a lot more clutter in the scene when its done, i want it to look like it would be a very bustly area when its done, lots of people toing and froing, a little cafe, that sort of thing.

I also made a robot, its not very good.

the bulk of it is done now, just needs small details and the sculpt, which I’ll do this weekend and start on the re-topo.

just a few small additions. just need to plug some holes and add in the big areas for the rear reactor and exhausts + the cockpit.

did a couple of hours this afternoon, i was away till today so its the first chance ive had to get back onto it.. will do some more tonight.

I have thursday to work on it too so should have the hard surface done by then ready for fine detail and sculpting on the weekend.
